Kids Bull Rider Vest

Bull riding is a rodeo sport that involves a rider getting on a large bull and attempting to stay mounted while the animal attempts to buck off the rider. In the American tradition, the rider must stay atop the bucking bull for eight seconds. Because it is a risky sport, the rider must be equipped with the proper gear to minimize the risk of injury. Such gear includes a Bull Rider Vest.

Bull riders are required to wear a protective vest, but most usually wear one made of high impact foam that allows the shock to disperse over a wide area, thereby reducing pain and injury. There are generally two levels of Bull riding vests made. The first or entry level is for non horned animals. The second level is for horned animals and able to stop a blunt impact from a horned animal that has had its horns tipped to the size of a nickel.

If your child dreams of riding bulls and participating in a rodeo, a Bull Rider Play Vest is a good place to start. This bull rider vest is ideal for kids age 2 to 10 years old. It will allow your child to set the stage for imaginative play or costume fun. And, it looks just like the padded leather vests that rodeo champs wear in the bull riding arena.  So make sure they don’t go near any real bulls because it does not provide the same protection.

The kids’ bull rider vest is black with leatherette shoulders, sides and back yoke. It adjusts conveniently with Velcro for just the right fit. And just like real cowboys, it has sponsor logos on the front. To make your little bull riders’ look even more authentic, you should add a cowboy hat, some chaps and boots.

Cowboy hats are the primary head gear worn by bull riders. The Bailey’s Cattleman Cowboy Hat, available in brown and black, is ideal. It comes with a ¼ leatherette hat band with stud accents. It has the traditional cattleman crease hat crown and a sweatband for moisture management. The hat is made of quality material that will last for years of rough play.

Chaps are probably the most notable piece of bull rider clothing. Usually made of leather, chaps provide protection for the rider’s legs and thighs. Here, the kids’ leather chaps and vest set is recommended.
